Affect Vs. Effect

I learned about when you use either affect or effect. Grammer girl talked about examples and ways to remember. Affect vs. effect is one of the most asked questions in grammar. Most of the time that you use affect it is a verb. Usually when you use effect it is a noun. There are some cases where "the roles" are switched. If you remember affect-verb, effect-noun, you will get it right 95% of the time.

Example of Affect: The earthquake affected the state of California.

Example of Effect: The earthquake had a huge effect on the state of California.

Beowulf Paragraph

Are there different Christ-Like figures in our world? Beowulf is a Christ-like figure in the book Beowulf. To the people, he is an auspicious and singular person. Everyone believes in his aptitude to be great and to defeat the Lady Monster. Being a Christ-like figure means being impervious, and erudite. There are many examples where Beowulf serves as a figure to the people in the society. When Beowulf goes off to defeat Grendel's mom, the people were waiting for him to return, and when he didn't return for a while the people lost faith in Beowulf. When Beowulf came back the people were overly joyed at his return. He was praised. To the people he has a certain affinity about him. They look up to him and take into consideration the ideas he has to offer. They go to Beowulf for support. Beowulf is a great example of a Christ-like figure.

Anglo-Saxon and Old English Culture and language

I think that are similarities and difference of what the people in those ages endured. Many of the people from the different ages had the same kind of jobs. The Anglo Saxons endured more. The chipping away of the rock still occurs today with the mining. People make their houses out of the same material as they did back then. The middle-class people worked normal jobs. The noble men fought. And pheasants just tried to survive with what they could and what they had. They may have had to have more than one job to help support his family. A lot of people today have more than one job to be able to pay for everything. There are many similarities and difference of culture.
